Admission to the conert is free, but we ask for donations of food items to the University of Alberta Food Bank. There is free parking at Meadowlark Mall, a very short walk from Trinity United Church.

This will be our third annual gala concert (after many previous years of recorder orchestra concerts.) As has been our tradition over the last couple years, the gala concert includes musicians and ensembles from within the Edmonton Recorder Society, some from as far away as Red Deer and Calgary. Anyone is welcome to apply to perform. Some of the groups that participate have been playing together for years, some are formed just for the occasion.

Each year the Edmonton Recorder Society organizes an 'ERS Ensemble' for the show that rehearses for about 10 weeks prior to the concert. The ERS Ensemble's volunteer conductor this year is Lori Klingbeil. Rehearsals for the ensemble are underway.

We are still looking for other ensembles and performers to join us for the concert. If you are interested in participating or helping in our gala concert, please contact us.

Note: There will be a dress rehearsal for all locally based performers on Thursday evening, April 12, 2012 from 7:00 – 9:30 pm at Trinity United Church.
