The Edmonton Recorder Society is a non-profit society registered in the Province of Alberta. Its primary objectives are to cultivate an appreciation of the recorder, to inform people of the recorder, to help people improve their recorder playing, and to sponsor concerts, workshops and other musical events. A full listing of the Edmonton Recorder Society's objectives can be found in the downloadable copy of the by-laws.
The official business of the Edmonton Recorder Society is handled by the Board of Directors; each member is elected for a one-year term starting at the Annual General Meeting each year in the fall. A person may sit on the board for up to three consecutive years before being required to take a break.
The 2023-2024 Board of Directors is as follows:
