   July notes:  Happiness!  8 parts!
Together again..finally!   Under the fine direction of Vince Kelly, we enjoyed various composers.   Along the way, some time signature changes challenged our brains, yet the music selection was always pleasing.  With the great turnout, it was a treat to play an eight part piece, then another in the form of a two part choir!  Playing was only part of the fun; two guitar/recorder duos shared their talents and skills for our listening pleasure.
     July 23, 2023  2-4 pm  Anne's backyard
Many thanks to all who contributed to the success of the sunny afternoon!
Attendance total - ten

Aug 28, '22  Past Summer Sunday Delight
Ten players took pleasure in live harmony together!  The weather cooperated as we played some folk songs,
a brand new canon, and tried and true pieces from the 1500s.
Besides playing, a few musicians entertained us with recorder/guitar and recorder/voice compositions.

Many thanks to our host, Lori; also to our leaders Vince and Anne; to those who prepared pieces for our listening enjoyment; and everyone able to attend!

June 13 and July 25 - players continued playing delightful rounds and a range of traditional and modern pieces.
Again, Anne's backyard provided sun or shade surrounded by the array of flora that our unusual heat couldn't beat. Thank you as well, to our performers who played some Handel and Telemann!

Summer Sundays - Remembered
2019    July 12  August 16  September 20

#3  Our final Summer Sunday, sneeking in before the official autumn season, was sunny in more ways than one for us all on September 20. Again, players stepped up to play for everyone - recorder & guitar and a lovely suite for three.  (9 + 1 attended)
#2  We beat the heat of August 16 under umbrellas, canopies and
awnings -amidst  cherries, corn, beans and colourful posies. Best
of all, though were the dozen players! This time we heard a
   regular trio, o
ur rockin' classical guitar/recorder duo, & then
Dorothy previewed her upcoming concert, which included a
humming bird piece on the tiny garklein recorder! As in July, we
   played some rounds to
keep us deeper in tune with each other!  (10+1)
#1  Our first Sunday event was July 13 and seemed akin to a folk festival, as recorders were joined by guitars, banjos and a tenor tin whistle. The setting was park-like in a backyard  graced with a patio/stage, under an umbrella!  Dorothy debuted her own compositions and we all played some recorder canons to ensure harmony for and by everyone!  (12 + 1)
Many thanks to the organizers, hosts, round leaders, performers and out-of-towners.
