June 13 and July 25 - players continued playing delightful rounds and a range of traditional and modern pieces.
Again, Anne's backyard provided sun or shade surrounded by the array of flora that our unusual heat couldn't beat. Thank you as well, to our performers who played some Handel and Telemann!

Summer Sundays - Remembered
2019    July 12  August 16  September 20

#3  Our final Summer Sunday, sneeking in before the official autumn season, was sunny in more ways than one for us all on September 20. Again, players stepped up to play for everyone - recorder & guitar and a lovely suite for three.  (9 + 1 attended)
#2  We beat the heat of August 16 under umbrellas, canopies and
awnings -amidst  cherries, corn, beans and colourful posies. Best
of all, though were the dozen players! This time we heard a
   regular trio, o
ur rockin' classical guitar/recorder duo, & then
Dorothy previewed her upcoming concert, which included a
humming bird piece on the tiny garklein recorder! As in July, we
   played some rounds to
keep us deeper in tune with each other!  (10+1)
#1  Our first Sunday event was July 13 and seemed akin to a folk festival, as recorders were joined by guitars, banjos and a tenor tin whistle. The setting was park-like in a backyard  graced with a patio/stage, under an umbrella!  Dorothy debuted her own compositions and we all played some recorder canons to ensure harmony for and by everyone!  (12 + 1)
Many thanks to the organizers, hosts, round leaders, performers and out-of-towners.

   Summer Sundays
Need some recorder playing company?
Join us for a casual hour of solos and canons!

You bring the solos and we'll send you some easy canons
so we can play in harmony!

RSVP to xx  That will help us ensure that our venue can accommodate everyone.  Let us know if you plan to play something for us.  We can send you the rounds, and an address.

Rounds/Canons:  If you have a round to contribute for group playing, send it to Lori as an email attachment so it can be forwarded to attendees.

When/Where:   September 20    Still in Anne's Backyard
In case of inclement weather -- We did have chilly weather on the original date of September 13....New date, as above:  September 20.   However, in case of inclement weather, still look for an email two hours before the event.
In case of an abundance of participants, we will let you know an alternate venue.

Please take your own:
  • Chairs or mats to sit on
  • Drinks and other refreshments for yourself
  • Recorders and music stand (and maybe clips) if you’re planning to play
  • Canons (emailed to you)
  • covid safety precautions will be in place
